With all the folks out here praying for rain, I thought for sure that the fireworks were going to be cancelled. The clouds started rolling in at about eleven o’clock, and with the wind and the rain and the rain and the rain, this is what it looked like at our house:
- View From The Front Door
- A Little Shower
- Our Street
- Our Dry Ravine
- The Paved Road…
But as most storms do in AZ, this one passed and left us with a clear, balmy night in which to enjoy the fireworks:
We went and got ourselves a Little Ceasar’s Pizza, a couple of soda pops, and camped out on the back of the car in the Home Town Buffet parking lot and watched the festivities from afar. It was nice – not too many people, no bugs, no screaming kids, no traffic when we left. Mr. B and I had a nice little date and really enjoyed the show.
So, here are the small-town adventures of the two of us, about two weeks too late of course, but still here nonetheless. I can blame it on my hubby and the fact that he STEALS the internet card when he goes to work. I guess he works to pay the bill, so it’s not exactly stealing, but still…I’m gonna blame him. It’s easier than admitting that I’ve been THAT lazy!!

That looks like a really great way to watch the fireworks. On top of the car, with pizza. Oh to be a kid.
